Consider The Fruit Tree

There are MANY things, we can all judge each other by .. The way we dress, Whether we cut, or don’t cut our hair .. And a WHOLE HOST, of other things. But the one thing, we should Judge each other by, are the Fruits we bear or don’t bear, along the way.

The strange thing about a Fruit Tree, is that it doesn’t bear fruit year round, Fruit Trees are Seasonal. Do you think maybe, that Jesus was trying to tell us something, when he referred to us as Fruit Trees ?

Most likely, we will look at the statement he made about the tree not bearing Fruit, But miss the whole point, about a Fruit Tree.

I want to point out the following 3 things, about a fruit tree.

1. Fruit Trees go through the seasons, and each season, has a reason, and without the seasons, the tree would become unhealthy.

First of all, Fruit trees must be tended, as they grow. During this process, they are carefully pruned. Pruning, allows maximum growth, Strong Branches, and maximum production.

The only time of year to prune a Fruit tree, is mid winter, When the sap of the tree, is down, at its lowest point.

2. The next thing we need to consider about Fruit Trees is that they Bloom, once a year. And without the Bloom, there would be no fruit.

We have all said it, OH LOOK, how Beautiful that tree is … it’s the Fruit Tree, FULL of Blossoms, and oh how beautiful it is.

Again, that’s exactly how it is with us, When we Bloom, others notice. They see the beauty of our Blossoms, and that Beauty attracts their eyes, Because as we all know, When it comes to trees, There is nothing more Beautiful, than a Fruit tree, in Full Blossom.

3. Finally, a fruit tree begins the process, of bearing fruit. “Notice I said Process”. A fruit tree doesn’t simply Blossom, and then bear fruit the very next day. It take a FULL SEASON, to produce Fruit. Time, allows a fruit to grow, and mature, and become eatable. I think most, if not all of us, have probably attempted to eat a green apple. MAN, are they ever Sour and Hard.

The green apple reminds me of the Unsaved, around us, the “Sour and Hard” .. But given time to grow, careful fertilization, and proper care against insects, That fruit grows into a wonderful Fruit, FULL of nutrition.

Like the fruit tree, When others see our Blooms, they remember, and in due season, if their hungry, they will return to the Fruit Tree, seeking the fruit, to fill their hunger.

The Blossom, on a Fruit Tree, is silent, they don’t speak with roaring words, saying Look at me, Look at me, Watch me, I’m about to do something WONDERFUL, that you cant do.

No, the fruit tree sits there, Quietly, in all its GOD given glory, as a silent witness that says, LOOK, what the master of the orchard, has done. Its this silent witness, that attracts the passerby … They see the Blooms, and know, that there will be nourishing fruit on that tree, in due season.

Is that how others see us ?

Do they see a Fruit Tree, that they can turn to in their season of need. A Tree full of Blossoms, ready to bear good fruit, to fill the hunger of the weary traveler. OH, that we would be a Tree, a source of Fulfillment, and Nutrition, for the Hungry Soul.

My Prayer for you today is, That You become a Beautiful Tree, FULL of Blossoms, a point of remembrance. So in due season, and in due time, they who hunger, can come, and find comfort in your shade, and Nutritious Fruit, to sooth their hungry souls. In Jesus Precious Name I Pray, Amen.
